- It was a really difficult game against very orderly team, who did their best not to lose. We dominated and created a lot of chances, but lacked some thinking freshness when we were supposed to finish our attacks.
We’re having a tough period. This week we lost Popov and Burda, today we lost Tymchyk. Rodrigues also had issues. Same about Kedziora. The problem is that many players, who were at their national teams’ camps, didn’t play, but only practiced there. And they didn’t even practice a lot. That was obvious today.
Still I’m satisfied with the way guys fought for victory. We’ll have another tough match on Tuesday. AZ are quite aggressive team. Our major task is to recondition by this game.
- Do you know how bad Tymchyk’s injury is? And who’ll be the centre back if Kedziora needs to return to the wing?
- Usually such injuries are pretty serious. We don’t have a lot of options. I’m really satisfied with the debut of young Zabarnyi. Mykolenko also did a pretty good job as centre back, but at the same time we weakened our left side as he would have been very active there.
As for players, who were injured, only Mykolenko is really back. Verbic still needs to recondition. Shepelev also has issues, but I hope he’ll rejoin the team next week.
- What aspects of the game plan have your player failed to bring to life?
- We created decent number of chances, but it takes more time to build a team, especially in terms of attacking actions. There were certain mistakes today and we’ll work on that. But I’ve thanked players for their attitude.
