In his first season with the White-Blues, Mircea won all domestic competitions with the White-Blues – UPL, Ukrainian Cup and Super Cup.
Last week Ihor Surkis and Mircea Lucescu attended the Champions League and Europa League finals. During this trip they discussed the last season, plans for the following one and decided to prolong the contract of the coach till July of 2023.
“We totally believe in Mister and his development strategy. Not only is Mircea Lucescu a victorious coach, he’s a specialist, who facilitates players’ progress and helps our club change. I hope the upcoming two years are only the start of new victorious page in Dynamo history, and we’re glad Lucescu will be a part of this path.
This year our club and team made a huge step forward and we hope the progress will continue. We have no doubt that our decision will benefit Dynamo”, - stated Ihor Surkis.
Last season Dynamo played 43 matches under the charge of Mircea Lucescu (UPL, Champions League, Europa League, Ukrainian Cup, Ukrainian Super Cup) – 28 wins, 8 draws, 7 defeats. The team reached the Europa League round of 16 and won all domestic trophies.
