Dynamo U19 played their first official match on Ukrainian level after the winter break. As a reminder the Round 17 match between Dynamo and Rukh had been postponed so the home game against Epitsentr became their first official fixture of the new year. The match took place in the indoor arena at Dynamo’s training base in Vita-Lytovska.
The scoring was opened in the 8th minute. After a cross from the right flank Kyrylo Osypenko struck first time from the goal area sending the ball into the net. Before visitors had time to recover Dynamo organized their second goal. Although Epitsentr’s defenders dealt with the initial cross into the penalty area Andrian Bekerskyi reacted quickest to the rebound and fired the ball into the net.
Two minutes later the referee awarded a penalty to Epitsentr after a foul by Myroslav Romanyuk. Team captain Andrii Shkraba converted from the spot to reduce the deficit.
However Pavlo Cherednіchenko’s side quickly restored their two-goal advantage and soon turned the score into a rout midway through the first half. In the 16th minute Pavlo Lyusin burst down the flank and cut the ball back to Ivan Andreiko who finished first time in mid-air to make it 3:1.
Dynamo’s fourth goal was scored by Vitalii Lobko who broke away from his own half following an Epitsentr corner kick when all of visitors’ outfield players had gone forward. He raced clear and finished one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
In the 28th minute Andreiko completed his brace, netting Dynamo’s fifth goal of the game. He skillfully controlled a long diagonal pass inside the penalty area, simultaneously beating a defender and then calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper. It was 5:1 already in the first half.
After the break Dynamo continued to dominate possession and create chances though the score remained unchanged for a long time. Epitsentr’s best opportunity came in the 68th minute when Maksym Havura found himself one-on-one with Viacheslav Surkis. The Dynamo goalkeeper won the duel and hosts immediately launched a counterattack: Pavlo Lyusin beat a defender, entered the penalty area and finished past the goalkeeper to make it 6:1.
Towards the end of the match Dynamo scored two more goals. First Maksym Hrodzinskyi headed home a cross from the left flank. Then two minutes later Pavlo Lyusin put the finishing touch on the game with a spectacular backheel goal from close range after a cross from the right.
8:1 – the young Dynamo side begin the second half of the season in National league U19 with an emphatic victory.
