National U19 League. Dynamo – LNZ – 7:0. Match report

As part of the 12th round of the National League U19 Dynamo Kyiv hosted LNZ Cherkasy at their training base in Koncha-Zaspa.

Before the game Dynamo were second in the standings with 25 points while LNZ sat in 10th place with 15 points.

Hosts started the game more actively, maintaining long spells of possession, though mostly on their own half without much forward penetration. When Dynamo did advance toward the opponent’s goal LNZ defenders were usually able to neutralize the danger.

The first noteworthy moment came when Ponomarenko tried his luck from the edge of the box but his shot lacked power and went straight to goalkeeper Bakus. Shortly after Redushko delivered a sharp cross from the left, aiming for Ponomarenko at the far post, but LNZ defender cleared just in time.

The pressure from Dynamo grew and by the 14th minute hosts opened the scoring. Liusin met a cross from the right and headed the ball over the line despite the keeper’s attempt to clear – 1:0.

That goal inspired the home side who began creating chance after chance led by Andreiko, Redushko and Ponomarenko.

LNZ, however, also had their moments. Dannykov fired off target and Lepskyi had a one-on-one with Surkis but Dynamo’s keeper made the save.

Meanwhile Buravtsov had two good chances at the other end – one shot flew over the bar and another went narrowly wide.

Just before halftime Ponomarenko doubled Dynamo’s lead. Receiving a pass from Andreiko he fired a low shot into the right corner – 2:0. That score remained until the break.

After halftime Dynamo’s dominance grew. In the 51st minute Redushko extended the lead to 3:0 redirecting Andreiko’s cross from the right into the net from close range.

The Kyiv side continued to press and soon Redushko struck again – this time finishing off a pass from Ponomarenko from a tight angle to make it 4:0.

Just minutes later Liusin grabbed his second of the day with a powerful strike from mid-range after another assist by Andreiko – 5:0.

Dynamo weren’t done yet. In the 79th minute Redushko completed his hat-trick heading home from a corner – 6:0. Two minutes later Ponomarenko added his second goal of the match from inside the box – 7:0.

Before the final whistle Ponomarenko nearly scored again with an acrobatic scissor kick but the ball went just wide. The match ended with a strong save from Surkis who punched away a dangerous Desiatnyk free kick.

A commanding 7:0 victory for the “white-and-blues” – another confident step in their pursuit of the U19 championship title. Dynamo’s next match in the National league U19 will take place after the international break – away to Kolos Kovalivka on November 21.
