Nazar Voloshyn: «I think I’m fully ready for the second half of the season»

Midfielder of Dynamo Nazar Voloshyn spoke to media representatives during the Media Game event about his preparation for the second half of the season, the upcoming match against Rukh Lviv, his ambitions with the Ukraine national team and returning to Kyiv after winter training camp.

– How do you assess your preparation for the second half of the season? How satisfied are you and what should fans expect from you?

– I can say one thing for sure - expect victories. I feel good and I think I’m fully ready for the second part of the championship. We’ll see how it goes.

– How would you assess the team’s current form? Are players motivated for the second half? Vladyslav Kabaiev mentioned the team’s positive atmosphere. Can you confirm that?

– Yes, of course, we have a very good atmosphere. Everyone in the team is friendly and supports each other. I can’t say anything negative - everything is very good right now.

– Since moving up to Dynamo’s first team you’ve been progressing from match to match. What is your personal goal for this season?

– As I said before my goal this season is to win every match, score as many goals as possible and be useful to the team.

– We all remember your performance for the Ukraine national team against Iceland when you came on as a substitute and assisted Ruslan Malinovskyi. There’s an upcoming match against Sweden. Do you think you’ll receive another call-up and what are Ukraine’s chances?

– Of course, that’s my goal. I’ll keep training as hard as possible to earn a call-up. I think we can play confidently against Swedes and win. We’ll do everything we can. I’ll keep working to get back into the national team.

– The first match of the second half of the Ukrainian league season against Rukh is coming up soon. How are you preparing after returning from Turkey and what are your plans for the next few days?

– Today and tomorrow we’ll have one training session per day. To prepare for the match we’ll analyze Rukh tactically and study how they play. For now we have one session scheduled each day.

– Has Rukh changed significantly during the winter break?

– I’ve seen that many players left and some new ones joined so I think they have changed. We’ll see.

– Considering weather conditions will it be a tough game?

– Of course, but the weather conditions are the same for everyone. I don’t know what the pitch will be like - maybe it will cut up, maybe not. We’ll see.

– How is the adaptation after warm Turkey? It’s colder here and there are sometimes power outages.

– But we’re home. I’m very happy to be back.

– Who did you miss the most?

– My girlfriend, my dog and Kyiv.

– Champions League playoff matches start today. Who will you support?

– Real Madrid CF.

– What did you do in your free time during the training camp?

– I played PUBG on my iPad.
