Dynamo Kyiv midfielder shared his emotions with Football Hub after the 2:0 victory over FC Poltava in Round 29 of the Ukrainian Premier League.
— It was actually quite a difficult match because both teams had chances, and Poltava probably made things challenging for you. Did you expect that?
— Of course. Every team fights hard against us in every match. We expected them to run, compete and create chances.
— The previous match against Poltava was very emotional, and Dynamo lost. Considering that would you say today’s game was especially important for you or was it more of a routine match?
— I think it was more of a routine match because there are games where we simply do not win. That happened in the previous match against Poltava but we corrected the situation and won this game.
— Andriy Yarmolenko scored his 123rd Premier League goal today and is getting closer to the all-time scoring record. How does the team react to that? Maybe there are some jokes about it?
— No, nobody really says anything. But of course the whole team wants him to break the record, and we will do everything possible to help him achieve it.
— There were also debutants in the lineup today, particularly Vitalii Lobko who started the match. What was happening in the dressing room between more experienced players and the younger ones? Did the coach say anything to them?
— Nothing special. He told them not to worry and just do what they know how to do. Everyone supported them.
— Today you also provided an assist for Eduardo Guerrero. By the way this was not the first time you and Buialskii combined with quick one-touch play. Is that something you have worked on?
— Yes, Buialskii and I have been playing together for a long time. We understand what each of us should do. We made the move — and scored the goal.
