Dynamo midfielder Nazar Voloshyn spoke about his impressions of the training process during the winter training camp in Turkey and assessed his progress in the current season.
– Dynamo have just completed another training session. How do you feel?
– We got a good workload, the training was very interesting. We ran a lot and scored a lot of goals.
– Tell us about today’s exercises because there were various challenges. What did you like the most?
– Probably the most interesting part was the competition to see who could press the blue or red buttons the fastest and the most times.
– This season has been a breakthrough one for you: you made your debut for the national team and are playing regularly for Dynamo. Can you call this season the best of your career so far?
– If we look at events that have happened, then yes. I want this season to be the best – to score many goals, provide many assists and give maximum benefit to the team.
– January is coming to an end. What conclusions can you draw from the first month of the new year?
– Nothing special. We’re training, training a lot, getting into shape and preparing for the championship.
– You’ve set a high standard for yourself. What helps you maintain it? Maybe advice, meditation or someone who motivates you?
– I believe it’s discipline. For example you don’t want to wake up early but you have to. That’s how everything is built. The standard is high so discipline is needed.
– We’re talking after a Champions League night with 18 matches played. What did you watch if it’s not a secret?
– Of course Benfica vs Real Madrid. I watched until the very last goal (smiles). I live with Denys Ihnatenko. He’s a goalkeeper and was just shocked. I was shocked and he was even more so. Congratulations to Anatolii Trubin – he did a great job. And congratulations to his team for reaching the playoffs.
– Did you watch the game together with Denys?
– Yes.
– Did your neighbors wake up or were they watching too?
– They were watching too – they were knocking on the wall.
– There was a big choice of matches. Why did you watch Benfica vs Real?
– Honestly, I’m just a Real Madrid fan (smiles). I follow Real because Mbappé plays there – I really like his game. But I’ll say that I’m very happy Benfica won and that Anatolii scored a goal. It doesn’t really hurt Real, you could say that.
