- What’s your daily routine during the quarantine?

- In the morning I have a training session and then the additional one. After lunch I watch movies or series. In the evening we play Counter-Strike with guys for 2-3 hours.

- Does quarantine have any benefits?

- I think after this people will value what they had before the quarantine. Besides it’s a chance to discover something new for you.

- What have you discovered?
- I improve my English.

- How long have you been playing Counter-Strike?

- Actually since childhood.

- Do you have other hobbies?

- I like basketball

- Which of your teammates do you miss the most?

- Verbic. He’s one of my best friends in the team. Still I have good relationship with everyone.

- What would you ask Josep Guardiola if you could?

- How do his teams maintain such incredible level of possession?

- Will you read his new book in Ukrainian?

- Sure, I like biographies of sportsmen and coaches.

- Which player do you look up to? You used to mention Ibrahimovic.

- That’s true, but I also think every player should look up to Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s a machine, who constantly refines himself.

- Who’s the best player in Ukraine national team?

- I’ll name three: Piatov, Zinchenko and Yarmolenko.

- Top 5 Ukrainian defenders?

- Mykolenko, Mykhailychenko, Tymchyk, Popov and Burda.

- Can you describe your best day from the past and dream day from the future?

- The best day was when I signed my contract with Dynamo. As for the dream day in future, I haven’t really thought about it. Maybe this will be the day when I prolong the contract with Dynamo (smiling).

- Will the legendary haircut of Mykola Shaparenko be back?

- Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. I’ve got used to the one I have now. But when I cut the hair I panicked at first.

- How do you get revved up for games?

- I listen to music.

- How long does it take you to lift your head up after defeats?

- That’s very tough for me. I can’t even sleep. If a defeat is especially bitter, I’m very upset for a couple of days. My father always supports me.

- Where do you spend your free time in Kyiv?

- I go to movies with friends, I like to walk in Khreshchatyk when the weather is good. Once a week I can have something sweet at Milk Bar.

- What does your diet look like?

- I try to eat healthy food. Eggs, syrnyky and tea for breakfast, soup, buckwheat and meat for lunch, some fruits for midday meal and fish with rice for dinner. My favourite food is spaghetti with chicken.

- What would you like to tell supporters?

- Having such supporters as we have, we must defeat everyone and be the best.
