On Thursday, September 4, Ukraine’s U18 national team (players born no earlier than 2008) kicked off their campaign at the international tournament in Sweden.
The first opponent for Volodymyr Samborskyi’s side was Norway’s U18s. Despite conceding an early goal at the very start of the match, the Yellow-Blues went on to claim a convincing victory thanks to braces from Dmytro Zudin and Artem Zubrii, along with goals from Oleksandr Sereda and Zakhariy Zakharkiv.
Two Dynamo Kyiv players called up for the tournament also featured: defender Danylo Ohorodnik started the match before being replaced at halftime by midfielder Nazar Ivaskiv.
Ukraine U18 will play their next match on Saturday, September 6, against Sweden U18.
