FC Dynamo Kyiv assistant coach Oleh Husiev has commented upon the first friendly of the team in 2025.
- How do you summarize these five days of the training camp?
- Everything’s going according to plan. The preparations are scheduled, all the guys are healthy. The first matches are always difficult. We expected exactly this kind of game. The opponent is very serious, practically ready for the season. This is the last game for them. That’s why we conceded in micro-episodes, which led to such a result.
- Did the shape of the first opponent matter to you?
- It did, but we had a wide range of opponents to choose. We picked Magdeburg as they’re really decent team.
- Are youngsters ready to be a part of Dynamo first team?
- The boys work hard, we can see their potential. Today they didn’t do well in some episodes, but it’s all in their hands. They’re still to play a very important UEFA Youth League, but so far they gain experience working with the first team.
- It seemed Dynamo created more chances than Magdeburg, but…
- We weren’t getting ready for this particular game. As I’ve said, Magdeburg are ready while we only start our preparations. Final score wasn’t our priority today.
- What are your impressions of Okon and Sliubyk?
- Considering that they’re defenders and we conceded three, this wasn’t their best job. We’ll see what happens next.
