- Newcomers joined the team after the training camp. Is it a problem?
- Of course it is. Some players need more time for adaptation than other. Dieumerci Mbokani, who started scoring at once, is a kind of exception to the rules. It’s quite a long process.
- Will you ask president to conduct transfers quicker for the future?
- I think our president has already made a lot, as it seemed almost impossible to sign some players. Still the preparation for new season must be full-scale.
- How do you communicate with newcomers?
- With a help of interpreter. Still they study Russian.
- Do they know football terms at least?
- In general they do. Especially lens, who knows many words already. People need time to get used to our life and mentality. For example we came to the training complex two days prior the game against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, which was strange for them. I had to explain that it’s necessary for reconditioning.
- Is there time to work on anything besides reconditioning?
- I think we need several additional tactical classes, but there’s little time for that. Actually now we have time but almost all players perform for their national teams.
- Have injuries influenced Dynamo play?
- Sure. Danilo Silva, Yevhen Selin and Denys Harmash have picked up injuries which creates difficulties for us.
- Experts state that Dynamo midfielders tackle poorly. Do you agree with that?
- I do. We focus our attention on that.
- Can your team play with two strikers?
- We really have two good forwards – Dieumerci Mbokani and Brown Ideye, but it’s not easy to predict how they’ll play together. Answers to such questions must be found during training camps.
- The atmosphere in any team depends upon the behavior of bench-warmers a lot. Do you have any problems with that?
- In general there are no problems of such kind.
- Do reserve players have financial motivation? If you don’t play, you don’t get bonus…
- It matters for young players, but not for experienced ones. It’s not about bonuses, they just want to play.
- Are you satisfied with cooperation of Khacheridi and Dragovic?
- This season we have stability in defense, which is very important.
- Couple of months ago Yevhen Khacheridi said that it’s difficult for him to work with you. Has the situation changed for better?
- I never heard anything of the kind from him.
- What can you tell about atmosphere in Dynamo in everyday life?
- You’d better ask players about it. I think we have a good team with some problems and drawbacks. We have a lot of newcomers, but there are no conflicts between players.
