The Dynamo midfielder shared his impressions after the home league draw against Olexandriya (2:2) in which he converted a penalty.
– What are your emotions after this draw?
- It’s very disappointing because, honestly, in the second half Olexandriya only crossed the halfway line two or three times, maybe had a couple of shots - and they still managed to score. It’s painful to concede goals like that and throw away wins.
– You’ve faced Olexandriya twice in a row now - first in the Cup then in the league. How different were those matches?
- To be honest you have to prepare the same way for every match - to play for the win. Of course in the Cup there’s maybe more responsibility because you don’t get a second chance, you can be eliminated straight away. In the league we dropped points but we mustn’t lower our heads - we have to keep moving forward.
– You conceded after just 12 seconds - one of the fastest goals in UPL history. What went through your mind in that moment?
- Well, these things happen… Serhiy Buletsa just closed his eyes, swung his left foot and hit it perfectly - a beautiful goal. Unfortunately we didn’t pick up our players properly and cleared the ball into the middle which you mustn’t do and that sequence of mistakes led to the goal.
– In the second half you won a penalty, took it yourself and scored. It looked like you were kicked pretty hard…
- It was a 100% penalty. But as you said we didn’t score the chances we needed to score. I think we created enough for three or four goals. Unfortunately that’s football - we didn’t take our chances and we were punished. That’s why the game ended this way.
– That’s two league draws in a row. Is there a negative feeling because of that especially given that Dynamo were dominating in both matches?
- Of course. It’s unpleasant to drop points in two straight matches. But we also have to go through this - it’s part of football. Ahead of us we have a very serious and difficult game against Karpaty in Lviv.
