Dynamo’s midfielder Oleksandr Pikhalonok spoke about expectations for the upcoming Ukrainian Premier League match against FC Epitsentr Kamianets-Podilskyi.
– Oleksandr, there are two days left until the UPL match against Epitsentr. What’s the general mood ahead of the game?
– We’re preparing for the match in a good mood. We took three points against FC Rukh Lviv so we’re heading into the upcoming game feeling positive.
– Today the weather is once again making adjustments – a snowstorm and strong wind. How much does this affect or interfere with preparation?
– Basically it doesn’t interfere at all. We have to prepare for every game regardless of the weather conditions. Whether it’s hot or cold you have to give your maximum in preparation to achieve a victory.
– What is the main focus in preparation for this match? What are you concentrating on right now?
– On everything.
– The first-round match against Epitsentr was quite high-scoring and successful for the team. Do you think it will be easier or harder to play against them on Friday?
– Every match is a separate story. I don’t think we have easy games – neither against Epitsentr nor against Rukh. I don’t remember a single easy match. So we’ll prepare at full strength to get three points.
– A widely discussed topic in Ukrainian football right now is the condition of the pitches. The training ground looks quite good. How satisfied are you with the field and conditions for preparation?
– We have excellent conditions at our base, a great pitch for this time of year. So we have everything we need to prepare well.
– Last Friday you played against Rukh, this Friday you’ll face Epitsentr and then there’s a Cup match against Inhulets. Have you adapted to this competitive schedule?
– Of course. We had a full training camp and played every 4-5 days there. That’s normal. We’re prepared, and I think everything will be fine.
