Olexandr ISHCHENKO: “Coaches never stop learning”

- Your academy is the best football school of the year. Does this mean a lot to you?

- I’m very restrained about that. The awarding ceremony took place after Dynamo defeated against Shakhtar, so I was in a bad mood. Anyway this award is a motivation to keep working even harder.

- You’ve been the head of Dynamo school for more than four years. What are your major achievements?

- I guess the most important change is that we’ve got young coaches. They’ve had a course and realized that they must broaden their knowledge all the time. Today we have young specialists, who want to help youngsters make headway and make progress as coaches.

- What can you say about work of new coaches?

- Coaches never stop learning. When Ihor Surkis hired me, we had a talk and decided that our football school must bring up both players and coaches. Today Serhiy Fedorov works for the first team, Ihor Kostiuk – for the youth team, Maksim Shatskikh – for Dynamo U-19. I see that they really want to upgrade their skills every day.
