Before it started the White-Blues former captain and Borussia Dortmund newcomer Andriy Yarmolenko came to say goodbye to players, coaches and staff. That’s what the first question to Olexandr Khatskevych was about.
- Though we haven’t worked a lot together, Andriy thanked me for this time. When saying goodbye to players he told he could even cry, but didn’t.
- What do you feel now that the leader of your team has left?
- I’m happy for him! That had to happen one day. Now Andriy can perform for great team in good league. He deserves that.
- Is Viktor Tsyhankov ready to replace Yarmolenko?
- I think he is.
- How do players, who performed for national teams, feel?
- Not all of them actually took the field in international fixtures. Ukrainians have returned to Kyiv, Croats are about to arrive. On Thursday we’ll start preparations for the match against FC Oleksandria all together.
