Three months later he signed a five-year contract with our club.
- I was born in Kharkiv region in the village of Serpneve, – tells 19-year-old Dynamo newcomer. – In 2007 I entered Kharkiv sports school. My coach there was Olexandr Ohiyenko. I’m really thankful to him. Later I joined FC Metalist Kharkiv Academy. Last spring I made my debut in the UPL in the game against FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
- Did you play as left back in Kharkiv?
- At first I featured as left halfback, but later coach decided to make me a lateral. Since then I’m a left back.
- Do you follow other left backs? Who’s the best one in Ukraine?
- Sure, I watch football and try to focus on defenders. I must learn a lot as my career only starts. I like Azevedo and Antunes.
- How did you get the transfer offer from Dynamo?
- In winter my agent told Dynamo were interested in me, but things didn’t work out then. In April I got another offer and this time there were no problems.
- Three months ago you opposed Yarmolenko on your flank. What are your impressions of that game?
- It was difficult and interesting. I did my best. I guess Yarmolenko is the best player in Ukraine.
- When are you going to join your new teammates?
- I’ve been told I’ll go to the training camp with the main squad, but I’m not sure yet as on June 21 Ukraine U-19 will gather to get ready for the European Championship finals. So I guess I’ll miss Dynamo training camp. Still that mustn’t prevent me from approving myself next season. I want to succeed together with Dynamo. That’s a new challenge in my career.
