People came to have a chat with FC Dynamo Kyiv legend Olexandr Shovkovskyi, who finished his career recently. The event was arranged by the White-Blues Fan-club.
Communication part lasted an hour and a half after which fans got autographs and had their pictures with Olexandr taken.
Dynamo Parafan-club representatives and Counter-Terrorism Operation soldiers were also present at the meeting. Olexandr signed some exemplars of club magazine to send them to the frontline. Our warriors will also get Lifecell start packages.
People asked a lot of different questions: about Olexandr’s career, his farewell match, future plans and personal life.
The first part of the dialogue of Olexandr Shovkovskyi with fans is for your attention:
- What are you busy with now that you’ve finished your career?
- I plan my days and spend time with family on weekends. I also study, keep fit and work on my personal development.
- Are you going to be a coach?
- I’ve decided to take a break to understand how I feel. I spent 30 years in football with 23 of them playing for Dynamo first team. I’ve accumulated psychological and emotional fatigue. I want to get rid of this pressure and live ordinary life for some time. I’ve taken coaching course and got A category diploma. Thus I can work as assistant coach or lower leagues teams head coach. I refused to take PRO course at once. I must feel whether I’m ready to keep working in football.
- Your last game for Dynamo was against Napoli in Kyiv. After that Rudko got the starting spot. Was that unexpected for you?
- I remember that game. We lost and unfortunately my mistakes influenced the final score. I don’t think Dynamo deserved the last place in group table. We lacked something in every match. Anyway coach will always rely on player, who feels more confident.
Artur Rudko was ready to play. I think all Dynamo goalkeepers are high profile performers.
