Dynamo Kyiv player Oleksii Husiev, who is playing for Chornomorets Odesa on loan this season, featured in the final match of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2027 qualifying campaign.
In the final round, Ukraine’s U21 team, which had already lost its chances of reaching the final tournament after the previous match, faced Croatia, who had already secured first place in the group.
Dmytro Mykhailenko’s side took revenge for their defeat in Croatia, winning by the same scoreline – 1:0. The only goal was scored by Oleksandr Pyshchur following a pass from Denys Hryshkevych at the very beginning of the match.
Dynamo player Husiev came on as a substitute for Hryshkevych in the 76th minute.
Ukraine’s U21 team will next play a friendly against Albania on October 5.
