Dynamo defender Oleksii Sych shared his impressions of the home Ukrainian championship match against Kolos, in which the White and Blues won 2:1, in an interview with the “Pro Football Digital” programme, comparing the game with the previous European tie.
– Qarabag's players are of a much higher class. Besides, it was quite difficult to play at their stadium because they have good fans and a large arena. In the match against Qarabag, we made mistakes and failed to convert our chances. That's how it turned out. There, when you make a mistake, you are immediately punished, while here – you aren't.
– You also made mistakes. You made a good start at Dynamo Kyiv, and everyone liked it. Are you beginning to understand that this is already a new, higher level?
– Yes, of course. I take responsibility. I was beaten twice. The class of the opposing players is high, so I need to draw conclusions from this. I will try not to make such mistakes again.
– How are you coping with the transition to a new team, the pressure on it and on you personally as a Dynamo player?
– Of course, there is pressure. This is a big team, but you simply have to show what you can do. Work every day – first of all in training, and then transfer it to matches. I have known the guys for a long time, so there was no particular need to adapt.
