Acting head coach of Dynamo U19 Pavlo Cherednichenko shared his impressions after the team’s emphatic 6:0 victory over Kudrivka in the 15th round of the National League U19:
- Players followed coaching staff’s instructions and knew their responsibilities. They carried out the game plan and achieved the result.
- Today’s match was officially an away game for Dynamo but it was played at the club’s training base in Vita-Lytovska. Can we say the team was helped by the familiar surroundings?
- It’s always pleasant to play at home, in front of familiar stands, at the training base where we work every day. Guys felt at home.
- Did you change the team’s preparation compared to the match against Poltava?
- Together with the coaching staff we carefully plan instructions for every match, determine which players will start, what substitutions we will make and so on. We had a plan for this game and guys carried out all the coaching directives.
- Just like in the match against Poltava Dynamo scored early goals again. Is this the result of the team’s game plan?
- Players who start must make the most of their minutes and carry out the coach’s instructions in the most active phase of the game. Goal-scoring opportunities, dangerous moments near the opponent’s goal, goals themselves - this all comes from their attitude to the game, their preparation and their execution of tactical and theoretical instructions.
- At halftime Dynamo were leading Kudrivka 5:0. How difficult is it to motivate the team during the break when you have such a significant advantage?
- We had planned rotation because on December 10 we play Hibernian and players needed game load. Those who came on as substitutes were motivated to fulfil their responsibilities to the maximum. Everything went as we had planned.
- Once again many key players were absent from the squad. How significant is their absence for the team right now?
- Guys have a chance to prove themselves for the first team and secure a place there. This is what we all work for - from the academy to the U19 squad - to ensure that as many high-quality players as possible progress to the first team and show what they can do to bring results.
- How would you assess Dynamo’s performance in the autumn part of the National League U19?
- The main result is how many players replenish the first team. With every training session and every official match they progress and therefore they must eventually move up to the first team. But they also have to prove their professional suitability, show that they are in demand and competitive.
- Next week Dynamo face an important and decisive match against Hibernian in the UEFA Youth League. How will the team prepare?
- The team prepares for every match to the maximum. Everything depends only on us, on our mindset. We’ll go to Scotland in good spirits and set ourselves the highest goals.
