Dynamo U19 midfielder Pavlo Lyusin, who scored twice in the 7:0 victory over LNZ, shared his impressions.
– Despite the big scoreline was the match as easy as it looked?
– There are no easy games. Even against LNZ it wasn’t easy. We go into every match wanting to win and it’s great that we achieved a good result today.
– LNZ were outsiders last season but seem more competitive now. How did you still manage to score seven?
– Yes, they’ve improved compared to last season – they’ve added a few players from other teams. But we always prepare thoroughly and never underestimate any opponent no matter who we face.
– You recently played in Sweden. Did you manage to recover in time?
– Yes, we recovered well. Plus some of our 2006-born players didn’t go to Sweden so they helped us today.
– You’re a midfielder but yet you often find yourself in scoring positions. Is that the coach’s tactic or your own instinct?
– Every player wants to score – even defenders like to go forward sometimes. But the most important thing is the team’s victory. If my goals help achieve that it feels twice as good.
– Did the recent wins over Shakhtar and Brommapojkarna boost the team’s confidence?
– Definitely. Those victories gave us confidence. Our goals are clear – to perform well in the UEFA Youth League and to become U19 National League champions again. We’re steadily moving toward that goal.
