On Monday, January 6, FC Dynamo Kyiv started the winter training camp in Turkey.
The location is the same as last year. The team is based and at the same hotel near Belek. However, this year the training camp started unusually early. This is due to Kyivans’ performances in the euro cups, which are being held in a new format. As a reminder, in January Dynamo will play two Europa League games – against the Turkish side Galatasaray (January 21) and the Latvian team RFS (January 30). This year’s training camp will be long and will last after the euro cups – until the start of the second round of the UPL.
At this point the White-Blues have four friendlies scheduled – against FC Magdeburg (January 10), FCSB (January 12), RTS Widzew Lodz (January 13) and FC CSKA 1948 Sofia (January 16).
On Sunday, January 5, Kyivans spent the whole day on the road as they departed early in the morning and got to the hotel late in the evening. On Monday the team had two training sessions.
The morning session was full of running work and included some exercises with the ball.
The afternoon session was more intense and varied. After the warm-up, the outfield players worked separately from the goalkeepers, who did special exercises under the guidance of Mykhailo Mykhailov.
Then players were divided into four teams and had a small competition on mini-fields.
The team will keep working twice a day.
