After their 2:0 victory over FC Inhulets Petrove in the quarterfinal of the Ukrainian Cup FC Dynamo Kyiv has turned its full attention to the upcoming match in the Ukrainian Premier League. In just few days the team coached by Ihor Kostiuk will play away against FC Polissya Zhytomyr in the 19th round of the Ukrainian championship.
On the eve of the match “White-Blues” held another training session at the club’s base in Vita-Lytovska as part of their preparation for the clash with Polissya. The training began with a traditional warm-up which helped Dynamo players prepare for the more intensive workload that followed.
After the warm-up footballers split into several groups. Goalkeepers worked separately, performing a set of exercises under the supervision of their coaches, while outfield players were divided into three groups. Each group had to finish a passing combination with a goal into small goals. The team that scored ten goals first won this mini-competition.
After that players were reorganized into three groups again for the next set of exercises. During this segment two groups practiced game scenarios while the third group worked under the supervision of Maciej Kędziorek. From time to time players rotated between the groups.
Later “White-Blues” split into two teams and played a small-sided match on a reduced-size field. In a tense contest the team wearing orange bibs secured a narrow victory. At the end of the training session on the pitch Dynamo players moved to the gym for additional workouts.
