It took place at Dynamo Stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi.
Players started arriving at the arena an hour prior the training session. Many of them laid flowers at the monument to ValeriyLobanovskyiMonument before that.
About four thousand supporters came to watch Kyivans preparing for the national cup final.
The first one to take the field was Olexandr Shovkovskyi.
Some of the last were Dieumerci Mbokani, Lukman Haruna and Brown Ideye.
Dynamo president Ihor Surkis also was present at the training session.
The game against Shakhtar will be very important for the White-Blues. Last time the team won the Ukrainian Cup in 2007 with Serhiy Rebrov in the squad.
Triumph in the national cup is a possibility for Kyivans to make amends to supporters for the bad season in some way. That’s also a chance for Rebrov to become the head coach.
Yevhen Khacheridi and Oleh Husiev didn’t take part in the training session. Still the latter works individually and he’ll probably be able to feature against Shakhtar.
Training was accompanied by folk music for every foreign player. Good atmosphere gave performers extra force.
The team didn’t stay at the training complex, but decided to get some positive energy from supporters.
After the training session fans got autographs and players – some fair points as for recent failures and parting words before the Ukrainian Cup final.
