According to technical specialists, all the stadium systems have already passed the necessary tests and are operating excellently. Hence, one it may safely be said that the match will be held at the highest level.
The heart of the main sports arena of the country – an emerald green pitch of Olimpiyskiy is ready to host football fights as well. According to the stadium agronomic service, it has perfectly overwintered and saved its wonderful characteristics. To have a qualitative covering in spring the pitch was needed to be prepared in a right way in autumn, be fertilized and processed against illnesses. We also needed “to make snow falling” only onto the dry surface of the pitch.
-In autumn we conducted a whole complex of the procedures, - Viktor Yaromenko, Stadium Head Agronomist says, - and were controlling the temperature of air, soil and the pitch surface which had not been lower 0⁰С. 2 weeks prior the match the gradual heating of the pitch was on to make it acclimate. And when it was warmed up, it was covered with a special blanket to keep the temperature and launch more intensive heating to make the snow melt. The pitch temperature herewith must be +15⁰С. Yet, it took us only 36 hours to make a five-meter snow layer vanish. After that the pitch was processed against illnesses once again, and with the help of special lamps changing natural sunlight we will stimulate the growing of the grass every day. On the eve of the game the pitch will be cut and marked.
