Scandinavian player picked up serious injury in the Europa League game in late 2018. He was close to return several times later, but that didn’t happen.
Unfortunately Mikkel suffered two more injuries which didn’t let him demonstrate what he’s capable of. Still Duelund has demonstrated his will power and coped with health issues.
In the game against FC Vorskla Poltava Mikkel was one of Dynamo most active players in the first half (6 attempts of dangerous passes, decent free kick).
65 minutes into the match he was substituted by Olexandr Karavayev.
After the game Mikkel and president of the club Ihor Surkis commented upon his return.
Mikkel Duelund. “Today I’m very happy as we’ve gained three points and I’ve come back. I haven’t felt that good for quite a while. I hope it’s just the start of a run of good luck”.
Ihor Surkis. “Duelund is a player we need. He’s very skillful. In the first half he proved he’ll benefit the team. His fitness is fine”.
