This club was founded in 1945 as CSK Jablonec nad Nisou. The team performed in regional competitions for quite a significant period of time.
In 1963 local carmaker took Jablonec under the wing and created worthy conditions for the sports club. That cooperation lasted for 30 years, till 1993. That was the period when Jablonec reached Czech top league at last. Still they performed there for only one season – 1974/75.
Serious success came in 1993/94 season. Jablonec became runners-up of the second best Czech league and promoted to the First League, where they perform nowadays.
Jablonec home ground is called Stadion Strelnice which was built in late 19th century. In 1955 in was seriously reconstructed. The last modernization happened in 2005. In 2008 U-19 European Championship final took place here.
Jablonec made their euro cups debut in 1997/98 UEFA Cup. The club reached the second qualifying round. This season they reached the group stage for the first time.
Jablonec head coach is Petr Rada. When a player, he was a defender and performed mostly for Czech and German teams. He has 11 appearances and 2 goals for the national team to his name.
