Ihor Kostiuk's press conference after the match against Kolos

Dynamo head coach Ihor Kostiuk answered questions from the media representatives after the 3rd-round UPL match against Kolos (2:1).

– How did you manage to motivate the team for this match and switch back to the Ukrainian championship?

– We played two difficult matches against Qarabag – in Lublin and in Baku, and between them we played against Veres. Overall, we had a tour of four matches. Seven players who played in Azerbaijan were included in today's squad. We managed to handle the match physically, and emotionally the team also understood that we needed to switch over. We talked to the players about the need to win, because a break and a reset are coming next, and everyone coped. There is a good atmosphere in the dressing room – we prepared well for the game. Of course, Kolos were fresher because of the two-week break, but today we deservedly won despite conceding a goal.

– How serious is Oleksandr Tymchyk's injury?

– We will have a full understanding after the diagnosis.

– What is the team's plan for the upcoming break? What will the reset involve?

– The players will be able to rest from travelling and spend time at home with their families. This is important because we have travelled a lot over the past two months. We have two weeks to rest and, with renewed energy, carry out the programme that, unfortunately, we could not implement earlier, since we practically had no full training sessions due to travelling. Some players will get additional match practice with the U21 team in the match against Kolos and the corresponding workload.

– The transfer window closes on September 5. Is further strengthening of the team planned?

– We are working in this direction.
