The All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers (UAPF) has announced the results of the annual “BEST XI” voting. According to the results, as many as five footballers who represented or represent Dynamo Kyiv have been included in the men’s Team of the Year for 2025.
The special feature of the “BEST XI” project is that its winners are determined directly by professional footballers. Throughout the season, representatives of the UAPF conduct individual surveys among professional football teams in Ukraine, with players casting their votes to determine the best performers in each position.
The “BEST XI – 2025” Team of the Year includes:
Goalkeeper: Dmytro Riznyk.
Defenders: Mykola Matviyenko, Taras Mykhavko, Yukhym Konoplia.
Midfielders: Ivan Kaliuzhnyi, Mykola Shaparenko, Heorhii Sudakov, Vitalii Buialskii.
Forwards: Vladyslav Vanat, Andriy Yarmolenko, Oleksii Hutsuliak.
Thus, four current Dynamo representatives were included among the best eleven footballers in Ukraine based on the results of 2025 — defender Taras Mykhavko, midfielders Mykola Shaparenko and Vitalii Buialskii, as well as forward Andriy Yarmolenko.
We would also like to highlight Vladyslav Vanat, a Dynamo academy graduate who made his way from the club’s academy to the first team over many years. Together with the White and Blues, the forward became Ukrainian champion, regularly received call-ups to the national team, and was named the Ukrainian Premier League’s top scorer twice in a row — at the end of the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons.
At the beginning of September 2025, Vladyslav Vanat moved to Spanish club Girona, but his performances in 2025 earned him recognition from his fellow footballers and a place in the Team of the Year.
The “BEST XI” project is particularly significant because it is not an assessment by an expert jury or a separate group of specialists. It is recognition from professionals for professionals — footballers who are on the pitch every day, know the demands of professional sport and can assess the skill, consistency and contribution of their colleagues to their team’s results.
Congratulations to our footballers on their well-deserved recognition.
