Following Dynamo’s home 1-0 win at Group G rivals Fenerbahçe SK, Dynamo midfielder Roman Eremenko commented on the match:
- It was my first goal in the Champions League and my second for Dynamo. It’s a pity I score too rarely. We really wanted to qualify for the knock-out phase of the UEFA Champions League. I think we had every chance to do so as "nothing is impossible". Unfortunately, a 2-1 home defeat against Porto on Matchday 4 was the turning point. That setback nearly killed us.
Everyone could see we approached the match with the right mentality. All the players stayed focused during the whole game. We played for a win because if you start thinking about a draw the opponents can score at any time and it's all over then.
