FC Dynamo Kyiv halfback Denys Harmash has told what happened 21 minutes into the game: “I lost the ball in the midfield then Spain started their attack, put a cross into the box and scored”.
Artem Kravets has emphasized visitors’ actions in that episode: “Spain scored due to great combination. I think it’s their desert, but not our mistake”.
Three minutes later our team could concede again, but Piatov didn’t let Fabregas convert from the spot. Our players tried to change things for better, but couldn’t. Andriy Yarmolenko: “We created a lot of chances. In some episodes we were unlucky while in others visitors’ goalkeeper played really well”.
“I think the second half was better for us. We controlled the ball more and created chances. We really wanted to win…”, - stated Serhiy Rybalka, who made a substitute appearance 58 minutes into the game.
Our team struggled till the end. Andriy Yarmolenko took fans’ breath away, when he eluded Jordi Alba floutingly, but didn’t manage to finish his effort with well-placed shot.
Artem Kravets was persistent and Serhiy Rybalka tried to use shots from distance.
So, our team will take part in the play-off round. Drawing will take place on October 18.
“We hope we’ll break with the tradition of failures in play-offs”, - said Artem Kravets.
“We know that play-off round is complicated, but it’s time to break rules. We’ll fight no matter what team we face. I want to thank our fans. Their support was incredible. I’m sure if they keep supporting us this way we’ll qualify for Euro-2016!” – informed Andriy Yarmolenko.
