- I think the game can be divided into two parts: before the red card and after it. Before the match I told players it was important to remain unprovoked. Unfortunately we haven’t managed to do that. Still even when we played outnumbered we created chances and I have nothing to reproach players for.
- Why did you pick this forward and why did he behave that way?
- That’s my choice. Of course players mustn’t behave like that. He let the team down and I’ve told him that. Still he scored and did his best for us.
- Are you satisfied with your work with the team?
- When we started working players were willing to meet our demands. Still after several years and titles I notice that some of them got tired of these demands. Anyway I won’t change anything. Those, who do their best at training sessions and in official fixtures, will play. Our performers must realize that if they don’t want to do something – that’s their problem. I won’t walk back even if someone doesn’t like it. The first half of this season was a failure and now we all must sacrifice something during vacation and training camp.
- Question from BBC Radio: I was surprised to see such small number of fans at the top match of the season just like at the previous Champions League game. Why do supporters move away from the team?
- The number of fans at the stadium depends upon our play. Unfortunately this season we don’t demonstrate what they want to see. Today 20 thousand people came to the stadium and I’m thankful to them.
- Why did Dynamo concede twice after the break even before the red card?
- We tried not to give Shakhtar space, but unfortunately concede twice. So far I can’t say what happened. We also had many chances, but didn’t use them.
- Is the season and career in Dynamo over for Olexandr Shovkovskyi?
- He’s said goodbye to the team and we’ve thanked him. He’s a great professional and it’s sad to realize he’s finished his career of player.
