- I’m glad we opposed really good team worthily. Though Chelsea are 11th in league table they have a lot of top-level performers. Today our guys deserve being praised. I guess in the first half we weren’t totally sure we could defeat this team. After the break we looked better though missed some counterattacks. I hope we’ll keep gaining points.
- You don’t defeat your direct competitors. Doesn’t that bother you?
- I think Porto and Chelsea are worthy teams and even draw in Kyiv is good result though today we deserved more. I think people have seen real football feast. Best European teams feature in this competition. We’ll try to earn points away.
- Does Khacheridi deserve starting spot considering his play?
- I won’t discuss every player in particular. I’ll only exemplify Buialskyi. They ask me why he gets the starting spot. The thing is that he scored against Porto and Guingamp, he scores in domestic league and performs really well despite his age. The same can be said about Khacheridi and any other player. I’m glad today Yevhen was one of the best on the field. He wasn’t worse than Diego Costa at head-playing.
- Forwards don’t score in the second game in a row…
- Maybe they’ll do it next time, besides Artem Kravets fulfilled a great amount of work which let us create chances. The same about Junior. I’m glad I have three good strikers.
- Jose Mourinho is sure that his team controlled the game for 75 minutes though statistics suggests the opposite. Do you agree that Dynamo controlled the game only late in the second half?
- Of course I disagree. We controlled the game especially after the break. Chelsea had good counterattacks and created chances. We admit that. Still I think our team can be praised for the second half. We made some mistakes, but we opposed the best English team. I think we looked worthily.
- You used only two substitutions. Neither Miguel nor Antunes took the field. Does that mean you don’t rely on them the way you did early in the season?
- Have a look at the statistics. Antunes took the field in every game this season except for this one. How can I not rely on him?! The thing is today we needed physically strong defender. Vida also attacked really well. I’m glad we have competition in the team. We choose performers considering every particular opponent.
- What about Veloso?
- The same situation. Miguel plays a lot this season and scores.
- What can help you defeat Chelsea in London?
- Let’s not hurry. I can’t tell how we’ll oppose Chelsea in London right after this game. I’ll watch this match once again and make conclusions.
- Jose Mourinho has stated he didn’t know what to do late in the game: attack or preserve the draw. What about you? What do your substitutions mean?
- We created chances, so I didn’t want to change anything. Buialskyi asked for substitution because he picked up an injury. Artem was exhausted as he did his best on the field.
- What qualities helped Kravets get the starting spot?
- Qualities he always had. He’s always ready to fight and fulfill proper amount of work. I’m satisfied with his play today.
