- Serhiy, how did you get to know about the call-up?
- One of Dynamo journalists called me and told that the call-up was sent to our club. It was a pleasant surprise for me.
- What can you tell about your first day in the national team camp?
- On November11 we analyzed the previous game and had a training session.
- Who do you share the room with?
- I live alone like everybody else.
- Were there players you weren’t acquainted with till now?
- Yes, there were.
- Is this call-up a kind of advance for you?
- I think it is. I haven’t made a lot of appearances for my club yet, but I’m glad that I’ve been spotted by Ukraine national team coaching staff.
- Are you going to make your debut for the national team against France?
- I don’t like to make plans. If I get a chance to take the field it will be great.
- Have you already switched to international affairs?
- It wasn’t difficult. There’s a world of difference between the club and national team.
- Are you excited? Will you performances for Ukraine U-19 help you to adapt to the national team?
- I really used to play for the Yellow-Blues. Still I think one shouldn’t compare Ukraine U-19 with the national team.
- Who are your main competitors for the place among first eleven?
- All players are worth being in starting lineup and everyone’s ready to take the field. There’s competing inside the team and it’s okay.
- What did you know about Mykhailo Fomenko until now?
- I followed Ukraine play and read Mykhailo Fomenko’s interviews. I think he is a strict coach, who pays a lot of attention to discipline and tactics. I suppose that’s right.
- Have you already had a talk with the head coach?
- Not yet, but I think I will. As I came to the national team camp I got into gear at once.
- Can Ukraine outplay France?
- The Yellow-Blues have proved that they are worthy opponent for any team. I think we can expect the victory against France.
- What can you tell about your forthcoming opponent?
- France have had generational change. Now they have both experienced and young performers. Anyway they are very good team. Special attention should be paid to their midfielders and forwards. As for Ukraine, we can demonstrate good team play. Besides we also have performers with great individual skills.
