Ukraine national team head coach Serhii Rebrov has visited Dynamo training session and answered some club media questions.
- Quite unexpected visit of yours…
- Maybe it is to you, but I often come here. I leave nearby and like being here. It’s important to follow our internationals.
- Do you think Dynamo have reached their peak late in the season?
- I’m not sure about the peak, but I like how Shakhtar and Dynamo are doing, including internationals. We have quite a lot of information to get ready for Euro-2024.
- Euro-2024 starts in a month and a half. Which aspects are vital beside injuries and game practice?
- All aspects matter. We’ve done something really important for the country, but we must represent Ukraine decently, not just participate. We all need to get ready properly to show our strength.
- Andriy Yarmolenko skipped playoffs due to injury. Now he’s reconditioning, scoring, assisting. What do you think of his shape?
- I’m glad he’s getting game practice after lasting recovery. We’ll keep following all players performing in our league.
- From what you’ve seen at Dynamo training session, are there any players whose efforts especially deserve being mentioned?
- I travel a lot and follow many training sessions, so basically I know how this or that player is doing.
- Shall we see new faces at the Euro-2024?
- That’s always possible. Unfortunately the squad list has a limit of 23 players although we hope it will be broadened to 26. That’s a huge responsibility for payers. They must be totally ready to demonstrate their best qualities.
- So there’s a chance there will be new faces in friendlies, but then experienced players will go to Germany?
- As I’ve said, there always can be new players. Who could possibly imagine Brazhko would perform in two playoffs…
- How’re you going to divide younger players between the national and the youth team?
- The national team is always a top priority. It’s about reputation of our country. Youth team comes after that.
