- There isn’t much to comment upon. The game was difficult just like any other. Every team that opposes us plays with dedication. I think in the first half Metalist youngsters looked worthy. After the break we scored and eventually won the game.
- Do you have any claims to your players?
- Not really. They tried to follow the game plan even though sometimes didn’t do what we talked about. I’m glad we were patient and coped with Metalist defense. There are always some claims, but we’ve deserved victory.
- What can you say about Yevhen Chumak?
- I’m glad that we have the reserve team that works according to same program as the main squad. We have a lot of injured midfielders today and I can let one reservists take the field. Chumak is one of such performers. I’m glad he’s scored, but I guess he wouldn’t have got this chance but for our players’ injuries. Still such people as Yarmolenko, Sydorchuk and Buialskyi wouldn’t have come to the fore but for chances they were given. That’s a normal process.
- Was Chumak’s return to Dynamo after trial at FC Hoverla Uzhhorod your initiative?
- It wasn’t. The thing is that Hoverla coach has told that Chumak hasn’t impress him. The same can be said about Besedin. Anyway I’m glad they’ve returned. These players just need more experience.
- Are you satisfied with Mbokani’s play?
- Why would I be dissatisfied? Only because he hasn’t scored? That’s not a problem. We’ve won and Dieumerci has made his contribution into victory. Just like Kravets and Teodorczyk did in previous matches.
- What are your impressions of the Europa League round of 16 drawing?
- I think there are no pushovers at this stage. I don’t know what opponent I wanted to get. We must analyze Everton play and move on. Anyway at first we are to face FC Zoria Luhansk in the Ukrainian Cup and FC Olimpik Donetsk in the UPL.
- Denys Harmash has already played one match for reserve team. What can you say about his conditions? When will he start working with the main squad?
- He’s already working with us. Denys had a very serious injury. I hope he’ll recondition soon. I’m glad that he wasn’t afraid of scrimmage playing for reservists. We’ll keep following his conditions.
- How have Everton FC changed since you played for Tottenham Hotspur FC?
- Everything has changed. When I featured in England only several teams relied on sophisticated combinations. That’s what Everton do today. They try to control the ball.
