Head coach of the Ukraine national team, Serhiy Rebrov has announced the list of players he will rely on for the 2026 World Cup qualifying playoffs.
The squad includes six representatives of Dynamo Kyiv: goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret, defender Oleksandr Tymchyk, midfielders Nazar Voloshyn, Oleksandr Pikhalonok and Mykola Shaparenko as well as forward Matvii Ponomarenko. For Ruslan Neshcheret and Matvii Ponomarenko this is their first-ever call-up to the national team.
Two more Dynamo players were included in the reserve-list: defender Kostiantyn Vivcharenko and midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko.
As a reminder Ukraine national team is just two steps away from achieving their dream — qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
On March 26 Ukraine will face Sweden in the playoff semifinal and on March 31 they will play in the playoff final for a place at the 2026 World Cup against the winner of the Poland vs Albania matchup.
If Ukraine loses to Sweden the team will play a friendly match against the loser of the Poland vs Albania pair.
Both matches will take place in Valencia at the Estadio Ciutat de València.
