Dynamo players postmatch

Oleksandr Shovkovskyy, Dynamo goalkeeper

High quality football under such weather is an impossible thing to accomplish. Instead, we displayed our ardent desire, discipline and strong commitment. Oleh Luzhnyy is my former teammate. It is useless to say what he thinks about team discipline.

Both teams probably created an equal amount of chances, but luck was on our side this time.

Playing soccer in the snow is no delight for footballers to play and for fans to watch. So although we have won tonight, it probably would have been a better idea to reschedule the match.

Vladyslav Vashchuk, Dynamo defender

Did we have come on the pitch with the goal to win? Well, that’s the aim we have every time, in each game. Actually, there was no game as such. “Run-and-shoot” display is not what football is about.

Goran Gavrančić, Dynamo defender

- Of course, tonight’s victory is important for the team. But we try to win every single match, so this one was no special. We learn to play football in different conditions. But under such circumstances you need to try and work even harder, which we did.

Miloš Ninković, Dynamo midfielder

We have been fighting throughout 90+ minutes. This is why we won. It was kind of hard to appear as a sub as early as in the first half, I did not even have time for the warmup. The coach told us to avoid short crosses and to have more shots on target. We did not really do well with his second instruction. Yet we deserved a victory.

Artem Milevskyy, Dynamo striker

By displaying our inner strength and will power we proved we are a team capable of winning. Did I wear any special cleats? Not really, my today’s boots just had 6 spikes instead of regular 13, which made the process of adjusting easier.
