Ukrainian Super Cup. Shakhtar – Dynamo – 3:0. Report

On September 22, FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Shakhtar Donetsk at the NSC Olimpiyskyi in the Ukrainian Super Cup.

Before the game, best performers of the previous season got individual awards. Vitaliy Buialskyi was awarded as the best UPL player, Heorhiy Bushchan – as the best goalkeeper, Illia Zabarnyi – as the best young player and Mircea Lucescu – as the best coach.

As for the starting lineup, Romanian specialist surprised everyone with his choice of forward. Vladyslav Supriaha took the field among first eleven.

It’s worth to remark that Supriaha created the first scoring chance of the game. He avoided offside, obtained the ball inside the box and hit the post. In a few minutes Buialskyi attempted after cross by Kedziora, but Piatov parried the shot.

Anyway, Shakhtar managed to open the score half an hour into the match. After cross by Dodo, Kedziora didn’t clear the ball properly and Traore headed it in – 1:0.

Dynamo tried to equalize at once, but Shaparenko missed from distance while Buialskyi missed the ball after cross by Kedziora.

Shakhtar could increase the lead right after the break – Stepanenko hit the post from outside the penalty area. Still, in the 53rd minute, they succeeded. Pedrinho found Ismaily in the left wing, Brazilian lateral put a low cross and Traore hit the open goal – 2:0.

Later Alan Patrick obtained the ball in defensive half, rushed forward and sent it into the upper V from 22-meter distance – 3:0.

The White Blues didn’t manage to pull even one back. Tsyhankov sent the ball over the bar after cross from Karavayev.

So, Shakhtar win the Super Cup for the first time in four years.
