As far as war in Ukraine has been on for almost three months, dozens of thousands of Ukrainians keep searching new life abroad.
FC Dynamo Kyiv left the country not knowing whether they would be able to play football again, but now they’re having charity tour to raise funds for people suffering from war.
On Tuesday, Kyivans faced one of the German top clubs – Borussia Dortmund. According to CNN sports analyst Darren Lewis, the game raised 425 000 dollars.

Football sounds…
For Ukrainian side players it’s just an echo of sirens and shellings at home.
Just listen to Kyivan Alan Aussi, who had to leave his motherland and currently works with Borussia Dortmund.
Alan Aussi: “I don’t know why this is happening and what’s going on in my city. Russian aggression, propaganda, why, why? Why do people die? Why do little boys and girls, senior people die? Why?”
The whole football family feels the war.
Hans-Joachim Watzke: “When you see something like Bucha or Mariupol, it brings tears to your eyes. You can’t believe it. I didn’t think that is possible in Europe in 2022. It’s horrible”.
Darren Lewis: “Alan plays for Dortmund side against his native club in this charity match to raise funds for those suffering from war. Thousands of people came to Signal Iduna Park. Ukrainian flags were everywhere. The motto of this tour is simple – match for peace, stop the war”.
Some of the top clubs of Europe agreed to play such games in the coming weeks.
As for Dynamo – they don’t know when they return to Ukraine.
So far what Alan and the team can do is hope bombs will start falling and fire will be ceased.
Alan Aussi: “I hope there won’t be such situation in the world soon, there will be no aggression and people will live good normal life. I hope neither my country nor other countries will face something like this in the future”.
