Dynamo defender Taras Mykhavko shared his impressions after the friendly match against the reigning champions of Georgia - Iberia 1999.
- Today Dynamo recorded two wins in two matches at the training camp. How intense was the second game and are you satisfied with the performance?
- Of course it’s always nice to win. Both the first and the second matches were quite intense. Speaking about the game I played in the opponent was strong and very well organised so it wasn’t easy. Still we created a lot of chances and could have scored even more. That’s why we’re satisfied with both the performance and the result.
Naturally not everything worked perfectly but there’s always room for improvement. We’ll keep working to convert more chances and play more reliably in defence. Overall, though, it was a good match. Everyone is satisfied and we continue our preparation. We still have five days left at the camp with training sessions and matches ahead.
- In the first half Iberia 1999 managed to match the tempo but closer to the end of the game Dynamo started to dominate physically and the opponent seemed to run out of steam. Does that indicate good physical conditioning?
- In the first half the opponent played very intensively and we noticed that. They were aggressive, dynamic and active all over the pitch. I thought the second half might be even tougher but it turned out the other way around. We were better prepared physically - we scored two goals and created several more chances. I can’t even recall if the opponent managed to take a shot at our goal.
But we’ve worked hard for this - there’s been a lot of running and very intense training. Of course we’re not at one hundred percent yet. Still we have time and we’ll do everything possible to be even better prepared. There’s always something to work on and improve.
