The Dynamo defender commented on the match against Kolos in Kovalivka.
– What was missing to push the opponent in the final minutes?
– In the end we really didn’t push enough and that’s our fault. We could have at least drawn the match. We needed to do everything faster. The first half didn’t work out for us at all – we couldn’t find our game. After the break we switched on, had good chances but lacked something to convert them. We weren’t aiming just to equalize – we were thinking only about winning because we’re in an unpleasant run of results. We ourselves don’t understand what it’s connected with.
– During the first conceded goal you seemed to lose track of Klymchuk. For the second one the shot also came from your zone. How would you assess your performance?
– The first goal was more accidental. It was just a simple long ball behind our backs. It happened that he ended up level with me but facing our goal. Of course that’s my mistake. For the second goal I didn’t react properly – he shot and the ball slightly touched my boot. I could have played more aggressively but it was inside the penalty area. There is my fault in it. I will work to avoid such mistakes.
– Dynamo also had plenty of chances. In your opinion was the score fair?
– Maybe in the first half yes. But in the second half we had many shots, created many chances… But the result is on the scoreboard. The game gets forgotten but the result remains. We are disappointed but we will keep working.
– In what direction does the team need to work? What is missing for positive results?
– We need to figure out within the team what needs to be changed. It’s hard to say right after the match.
