The Hungarian to take charge Tuesday night

Viktor Kassai will referee Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League group stage match between Dynamo Kyiv and Manchester United. He will be accompanied by assistant referees Gabor Eros and Tibor Vamos, whereas Zsolt Szabó will act as fourth official. All four are from Hungary.

The 32-year-old Kassai has taken charge of Champions League, UEFA Cup, Junior World Cup, 2006 World Cup and 2008 Euro qualifiers. The Hungarian is no stranger in Ukraine. It is him who officiated the last season’s UEFA game between Sevilla FC and FC Shakhtar Donetsk when he awarded three penalties.

Frantisek Laurinec from Slovakia will act as UEFA delegate and Jaap Uilenberg from the Netherlands will act as UEFA Referee observer.
