On Sunday, July 14, FC Dynamo Kyiv played their third friendly at the training camp in Austria. In two previous games Oleksandr Shovkovskyi’s men drew against SC Paderborn 07 (0:0) and FC Schalke 04 (2:2).
This time the White-Blues faced the Danish league runners-up – Brondby IF. Just like last time most Kyivans performed for 62 minutes.
Ukrainians succeeded confidently – 4:0. Goals were scored by Popov, Tsarenko, Andriyevskyi and Pikhalionok.
Early in the game the teams exchanged corners with no significant danger. In the 14th minute Dynamo took the lead. Popov headed the ball in after cross from a free kick – 1:0.
Danish side responded with some sharp attacks, but Dynamo defenders acted orderly.
As the match got calmer, Brondby created a promising opportunity. Omoijuanfo attempted after cross from the left side, but the ball went over the bar.
Shortly before the break Karavayev could double the score, but goalkeeper coped with his strike down the center.
Brazhko attempted with a free kick early in the second half, but missed a bit. Brondby tried to equalize. Larsen unleashed a shot from outside the box, but the rebound happened. Then Yarmolenko blocked a potentially dangerous low cross with a sliding tackle.
Anyway, Dynamo succeeded again as Yarmolenko passed to Pikhalionok who found Tsarenko and Anton netted the ball – 2:0.
In a few minutes Kyivans increased their lead. Goalkeeper cleared the ball inaccurately, Andriyevskyi obtained it and sent it in from distance – 3:0.
The last one was scored by Pikhalionok from the six-yard box line after brilliant pass from Yarmolenko.
So, it’s 4:0 for Dynamo.
