On Saturday, January 28, FC Dynamo Kyiv played the second friendly at the training camp in Turkey – against the Slovenian side NK Maribor.

Early in the game Mircea Lucescu’s men tried to take the situation on the field under control. They had a number of promising attacks.

Maribor responded quite sharply. Neshcheret saved his team by parrying a decent strike. It should be mentioned that Slovenians have already played three friendlies at the training camp.

Halfway through the first half Diallo aimed at the near corner, but the ball went wide. Sydorchuk sent it over the bar from a good position. Tsarenko was close to scoring from inside the box, but Maribor keeper cleared it.

After the break Slovenian side got more active. Early in the second half Antolin received the ball in front of the penalty area and hit the corner accurately. Dynamo could equalize right away as Vanat won a penalty. Vladyslav Took it himself, but missed.

Later Lonwijk got two yellow cards within a short period of time and was sent off. Upon the agreement of the sides he was substituted with Benito.

Three minutes after that Maribor increased the lead. Ilicic eluded two Dynamo defenders and passed to Brnic, who made it 0:2. Dynamo took some set pieces afterwards, but didn’t succeed.

The White-Blues will play their next friendly on Tuesday, January 31 – against the Austrian side SC Austria Lustenau.
