On Monday, January 13, FC Dynamo Kyiv played the third friendly at the training camp in Turkey – against the Polish side Widzew Lodz.
Early in the second half the game was mostly happening in the midfield, without actual scoring chances. Eventually Dynamo had a decent attack, Yarmolenko passed to Guerrero, who found Rubchynskyi with a heel pass, but Valentyn missed the target.
Pikhalionok sent the ball over the bar after pass from Braharu. Later Rubchynskyi found Pikhalionok with an accurate pass, but goalkeeper coped with Oleksandr’s shot from close range.
Anyway Widzew managed to step in front late in the second half. Teammates created a chance for Sobol, who sent the ball past Morhun – 0:1.
The first half ended with the shot from distance by Ponomarenko and the attempt by Yarmolenko.
Dynamo started the second half much more aggressively. Pikhalionok had two opportunities while Ponomarenko hit the crossbar! After that the game tempo decreased a bit.
Kyivans were mostly in possession, but didn’t shoot a lot. Late in the game Vanat missed the target somehow after pass from Voloshyn.
Still Vanat succeeded shortly before the time. Opponent handled the ball inside the box, referee awarded penalty and Vladyslav converted from the spot – 1:1.
Dynamo will play their next friendlies in Thursday, January 16. This day our team will face Maribor and CSCA 1948.
