U19 National League. Dynamo – Rukh – 3:0. Match report

On Monday, March 16, Dynamo Kyiv played a rescheduled Matchday 17 fixture of the U19 National League, hosting Rukh Lviv at their training base in Vita-Lytovska. The Kyiv side delivered a confident performance, securing a 3–0 victory and important points in the race for the top of the table.

Visitors made an aggressive start, attempting to put pressure on Dynamo from the opening minutes. However their early approach did not lead to real danger as both teams exchanged possession and attacking moves in a fairly balanced opening spell.

Dynamo created the first notable chance near the 10-minute mark when Ivaskiv tested goalkeeper Klymenko with a long-range effort but Rukh keeper reacted well. The match was highly competitive with frequent fouls disrupting the flow of the game and much of the action taking place in midfield.

Midway through the first half Dynamo began to take control and produced several promising attacks. Liusin fired wide from inside the penalty area after a low cross while Andreiko soon followed with a shot from outside the box that failed to trouble the goalkeeper.

The breakthrough came in the 28th minute. Dynamo launched a quick attacking move with Bekerskyi bursting into the penalty area before setting up Liusin who calmly finished to give hosts the lead.

Rukh had a chance to respond from a dangerous free-kick position but Muzhylovskyi sent his effort over the crossbar. Despite increased attacking intent from visitors towards the end of the first half Dynamo doubled their advantage before the break. Andreiko nearly scored after a well-delivered cross from Ivaskiv but his effort was cleared off the line. Lobko reacted quickest to the rebound and struck a volley into the net to make it 2:0.

Dynamo extended their lead early in the second half thanks to a spectacular effort from Bekerskyi. The midfielder unleashed a powerful long-range shot that took a deflection and looped into the net, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

Rukh attempted to get back into the game with Kyrykovych narrowly missing the target shortly after coming on while Surkis made an important save to deny Denysov’s header. Despite these efforts visitors were unable to find a breakthrough.

Dynamo continued to threaten on the counterattack. Lobko came close to scoring his second goal after going one-on-one with goalkeeper but was unable to finish while Savane also nearly added a fourth with a long-range strike.

In the closing stages Rukh had their best opportunity of the match. Surkis produced a fine save to stop Rybak’s shot and Kroitar struck the post on the rebound with the goal at his mercy. Dynamo nearly punished visitors immediately afterwards but Klymenko denied Liusin.

In the end Dynamo secured a deserved 3:0 victory, collecting three crucial points as they continue their push for the top spot in the U19 National League standings.
