Dynamo's head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi answered questions from media representatives at the press conference following the second leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round against Cyprus’ Pafos, in which the Kyiv side lost 0:2 (0:3 on aggregate):
– Did Pafos surprise you in any way in today’s match?
– I was more surprised by our own performance.
– Which part of Dynamo do you currently consider the weakest?
– We need to strengthen all areas. If we are talking about the team, we must understand that it consists of players from our Academy and Ukrainian footballers. To play at the highest level we need significant reinforcements. Because we are inferior both individually and in our team play. And that was visible today.
– What is the situation with Denys Popov? How is he feeling?
– He has an issue with his calf muscle. He felt a problem and asked to be substituted. He informed us about it, and we were already prepared for the possibility that he might have an issue.
