Ukraine U19 faced Italy in the Euro-2024 (U19) group stage third game.
The White-Blues needed victory to secure the spot in playoffs.
Four FC Dynamo Kyiv players took the field in this game – Oleksii Husiev, Taras Mykhavko, Andrii Matkevych and Matvii Ponomarenko. The latter scored the decider from the penalty spot in the 74th minute.
This success also means that Ukraine have already qualified for the 2025 World Cup (U20).
