UPL-2. Kryvbas – Dynamo – 1:2. Match report

UPL-2. Kryvbas – Dynamo – 1:2. Match report

On Tuesday, November 3, Dynamo Kyiv played another match in the Ukrainian Premier League-2. The White and Blues’ opponents in the away fixture of Matchday 11 were Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih.

The Kyiv side made an active start to the game, which resulted in an early goal. In the 3rd minute, Prado’s effort from a tight angle was not particularly successful, but it turned into a pass to the far post, where Pashko had no trouble finding the back of the almost empty Kryvbas net.

The hosts tried to equalise just as quickly, but Dynamo controlled the situation and did not allow their opponents to create any danger in front of goal. At the same time, the Kyiv side also looked to extend their lead. In particular, Khoma dealt with a promising effort from Pashko.

Soon afterwards, the White and Blues almost capitalised on an inaccurate pass from the Kryvbas goalkeeper. After intercepting the ball, Osypenko passed to Supriaha, who was unable to control it. Salenko then picked up the loose ball and fired from close range, but Khoma saved the effort.

Midway through the first half, Prado came close to doubling Dynamo’s advantage in spectacular fashion. The Brazilian winger produced a skilful curling effort from outside the penalty area, but the ball struck the crossbar. In the next attack, Pashko had a chance to score his second goal after an impressive run into the penalty area, but he was unable to beat Khoma.

Towards the end of the half, Kryvbas managed to restore parity. Hodia picked out Tovarnytskyi with a lofted free-kick delivery, and the latter headed the ball into the net. The game was almost immediately stopped due to an air raid alert, and after a break of more than an hour, the teams completed the first 45 minutes.

At the start of the second half, the Kyiv side had a good opportunity to regain the lead. Osypenko was left unmarked by the Kryvbas defenders near goal and headed the ball following Pashko’s cross. Khoma parried the ball in front of him, and it fell to Supriaha, who was unable to beat the Kryvbas goalkeeper with his follow-up effort. The Kryvyi Rih side responded with a long-range shot towards the near corner from Bodnar.

Later, Olkhovyi, who had come on after the break, was called into action once again. In the 72nd minute, the Dynamo goalkeeper saved a dangerous free-kick taken by Butenko.

Towards the end of the match, the White and Blues managed to take the lead once again. In the 80th minute, Salenko sent Supriaha through one-on-one with Khoma, and the forward then successfully chipped the ball over the goalkeeper.

This attacking move ultimately proved decisive. Dynamo secured a narrow 2:1 victory over Kryvbas, earning three important points.
